EE TYPE 1 CLASS 20

British Railways Class 20 Diesel Locomotives, also known as an English Electric Type 1 – were built between 1957 and 1968 by English Electric. They had a 1000 horsepower Bo-Bo configuration had a top speed of 75mph, They were  initially designed for hauling freight services and had a limited application for service on passenger trains. Over 200 were built and about 25 of the class have been preserved.
