EE TYPE 5 CLASS 86

The Class 86 Electric Locomotives were built during the period 1965 to 1966s. A total of 100 of these locomotives were produced by either English Electric at Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows or BR at their Doncaster Works. The class were used on the newly electrified West Coast Locomotives were originally numbered E3101 to E3200. The numbering system changed to Class 86, when BR introduced the TOPS classification.
